Islamic guidance recognizes arbitration as one mechanism for dealing with serious marital disputes.

A civil divorce and an Islamic divorce can also involve different questions. A Muslim woman should therefore obtain appropriate Islamic guidance regarding the status of her Nikah, Islamic divorce, Khula, Faskh, and any required documentation.
